My top 5 decks for Fall!

2018 Mabon / Autumn Equinox Blog Hop

Welcome one more day to The Sibyl’s Tarot! This is my first participation in a Blog Hop by Blog Hop Facebook Group. Please, do give a look to the Master List and enjoy the wonderful articles by some awesome Tarot readers and lovers!

It is with a heavy heart that I farewell my beloved Summer! I’m one of those folks who suffer from seasonal mood changes and to me, the darker half of the year is usually a bit complicated and I don’t deal great with days getting shorter, the absence of light and such!

So, whether you love, love Summer and like me, you’re going to be moody and a bit sad or you’re already hanging your Halloween decorations, I’m sure that this Autumn can get better with a few deck recommendations, because… Who doesn’t love a good Tarot deck?

Tyldwick Tarot by Malpertuis

I don’t know if it’s the quiet and emptiness transmitted by the cards in this deck, that feeling of a snapshot, frozen in time, the vintage, the dusty feeling or what, but Tyldwick Tarot has a je ne sais quoi that makes it a perfect match for the Fall season. Perhaps a reflection of my own mood? I’m not entirely sure of why is it, but I definitely work great with this deck during the dark period of the year. Besides, everything about this pack of cards is so delightful. The cardstock, the feeling, the backs… A true jewel that is about to get worn!

Gaslight Parlour Lenormand by Meudwy’s Wood

Perhaps I’m not objective, but this deck is a dream within a dream. The whole Victorian feeling, the textured cards and the sepia tones makes it just perfect to read with a cup of warm tea. It is the sort of deck that just fits a scene of a reader and a seeker diving into the future with a blanket, a cup and a bonfire. Irresistible! I’m decided to make the most out of this Lenormand deck during the next few months, including giving a bit of a rest to my go to Under The Roses Lenormand and make my seasonal deck out of it.

Romantic Tarot by Emmanuela Signorini

Perhaps the roses in the backs are not screaming for fall, but the parisian illustrations always take me to November in Paris and it attunes me to the romantic feelings of a season meant to retreat and spend more time with your own. The illustrations in this deck help me seek the warmth and tenderness that this season inspires and it makes a great addition to any love reading and romantic concern you may have!

The Halloween Oracle by Stacey Demarco

I guess there’s not a lot of room to wonder why this is one of the seasonal decks for fall! The Halloween Oracle, as shallow as it may seem at first sight, is actually a very competent tool that offers deep insight and very, very revealing readings with all the pumpkin goodness that a good Fall-lover requires! It never disappoints!

Mildred Payne’s Secret Pocket Oracle by DeviantMoon

These teeny-tiny spooky cards will make the delights of the lovers of the macabre. It is not only that they have this “halloweenie” feeling to them, and to be honest, they work great regardless of the season, but I feel particularly closer to this deck as the days get shorter, nights get longer and the rain becomes a daily soundtrack. Its beauty, simplicity and how easy it is to read makes it one of my Fall musts!

Bonus: My tea-blend for an splendid Autumn reading!

I love to make my own tea blends and experiment with spices and herbs! This is one of my tried and tested blends that make every afternoon a happy afternoon. It’s sort of a chai but not a chai, be as it may, if you’re a tea lover, you should try it out!

For this, you will need.

· Earl Grey Creme tea as a base

· Cardamom ( 2 or 3 seeds )

· Black pepper ( Whole, add a few pieces )

· Cinnamon (Half stick)

· Cloves ( 2 or 3 of them )

· Nutmeg ( Just a bit )

· Milk

Take some boiling water (duh!) and add everything except for the milk, let it boil in a slow fire for about 3 minutes, then let it sit for 10 or so. Add some milk and make it boil again (This will give the tea a creamy texture). Now enjoy your psychic powers!
